Hospice Care

Overview

Hospice Care is a compassionate approach to end-of-life care where the
emphasis is on “comfort” rather than “curing.” Professional care teams assist individuals and their families with pain management, and emotional and spiritual support. Hospice Care is designed to help minimize discomfort and anxiety, and is tailored to the individual’s needs.

What to expect

Seniors and their families can choose either on-site or in-home Hospice Care. Many senior care facilities offer Hospice Care services, including medical supplies and equipment, medication, physical therapy, pain management, bereavement counseling and support groups.

Who is it ideal for?

Individuals suffering from a terminal disease, or those who no longer wish to receive medical treatment or procedures. Hospice Care is also ideal for families who desire assistance with emotional and practical matters related to a loved one’s terminal illness.
